Hello friends,
This week, four poems using four different constraints:
MAGIC (Anagrammed Lines)
There's magic in blood:
A sober, demonic light
directs haemoglobin—
This iron became gold.
FOR ERIK SATIE (Palindrome-Haiku)
Art: Name it, as a
won Gnossienne is song now —
a Satie mantra....
THEATRE (Palindrome-by-Pairs)
See a play I'm in.
Adhere!
A theatre!
A theatre! — Head in.
I may please....
DAYS (Lipograms*)
Monday may doom my mood.
Tuesday’s steady duty tests us.
Wednesday dawns and sends a yawn.
Thursday's truth thus hurts.
Friday air a far affair,
Saturday’s as stray as dust — as rusty.
Sunday’s sad.
(*each line uses only the letters of its day of the week)
These are great - I particularly like the lipogram ('Tuesday's steady duty tests us' is exactly how Tuesday often feels, I think!)
