Hello friends,
Four poems this week, from four different constraints. Enjoy! (And if you do, please consider supporting my work by purchasing my latest book The Robots of Babylon, or by pre-ordering my forthcoming omnibus Knit Ink.)
DISHARMONY (Lipogram*)
Disharmony
rains hard diamond shards
on a marshy moor.
Disharmony ordains armadas,
arms assassins,
adds disarray.
Disharmony
rooms Roman dramas
in sordid dioramas.
Disharmony
is harmony
in a mirror.

SOHO (Palindrome)
Nightlife’s
able to make
esteemed art
Soho’s trade:
Meet,
seek a motel —
base filth, gin....
BLOOD MOON (Sonnet)
The Moon
falls pale,
and soon
its frail
façade
is blurred
and marred,
obscured
by drips
from Earth’s
eclipse,
which births
a flood
of blood….
END OF THE WORLD (Anagrammed Lines)
The world was ending:
Dawn light worsened.
Nights wandered low.
The long wind was red
with drowned angels....
Mostly hard forms to get anything meaningful out of them - and you really get them to work! Great stuff.
so brilliant!
