Hello friends,
First, a bit of news: I now have a Bandcamp site, where you can listen to my music for free — or, if you prefer, pay for it! Please check it out and follow me there.
Five small poems this week. Enjoy! (And if you do, please consider supporting my work by purchasing either The Robots of Babylon or my omnibus edition Knit Ink (and Other Poems).)
Alternatively, buy me a coffee on Ko-Fi!
A TRIOLET
The form is short;
some lines repeat,
but terms distort.
The form is short,
its meaning caught
in metered feet.
(The form is short
some lines? Repeat.)
A VILLANELLE
Motifs compel
me now to free
a villanelle.
Restrictions sell
the melody
motifs compel.
Allusions swell
in harmony —
a villanelle
whose echoes yell
the formulae
motifs compel.
A sacred spell.
A symphony.
A villanelle.
I hear it tell
its form to me:
motifs compel
a villanelle....
PANGRAM-HAIKU
My pangram-haiku:
Letters squeezed inside a box.
A refractive jewel.
ANAGRAMMED LINES
Anagrammed lines
mangle and rise. (Am
I glad namers name
enigma — and realms?)
Dream-names align
anagrammed lines.
REMOTE METEOR (Petrarchan Sonnet)
It sprints
alone,
a stone
aglint —
its tint
and tone
a throne
of flint
that twists
and sparks
its flight
amidst
the dark
of night.
